Martha Kirkland
Martha Kirkland established FranklinCovey’s presence in Bermuda and is the founder of Effective Leadership Bermuda.
Following her retirement from FranklinCovey, Martha is continuing to support the transition of the Bermuda licence. During this time, she remains involved in a limited consulting capacity to ensure continuity for clients.
Martha credits FranklinCovey’s sustained investment in research, thought leadership, and digital learning solutions as central to its ongoing relevance and impact. Her depth of knowledge and experience has consistently resulted in sessions that challenge thinking and support meaningful behavioural change. Her clients have spanned financial services, insurance, government, and the non-profit sector.
In education, Martha introduced FranklinCovey’s whole-school transformation model, Leader in Me, to Bermuda, where it has been fully implemented at Francis Patton Primary.
Prior to her work with FranklinCovey, Martha served for ten years as Assistant Director of Adult and Continuing Education at the Bermuda College.
Martha holds a BS from the University of New Hampshire, an Associateship from the University of London Institute of Education, and a Master of Social Work from Tulane University.
